Carcinoma of the Adrenal Gland in Children — A Study of 12 Patients
The adrenal gland is an uncommon site for tumors in the pediatric age group. The majority of these tumors are neuroblastomas. Carcinomas and adenomas represent less than 4% of all adrenal tumors . Between 1943 and 1981, a total of 12 cases of carcinoma and 5 cases of adenoma were seen at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. All these children had functioning adrenocortical tumors.
