Abstract
The effect of 2,3-oxide-3,3,3-trichloropropane (TCPO), a potent inhibitor of epoxide hydrase, on liver microsomes prepared from control, 3MC and PB induced mullet has been investigated, HPLC coupled with fluorescence and UV detectors was used to separate and identify the various metabolites of BaP. TCPO inhibited the formation of 9,10-dihydrodiol and 7,8-dihydrodiol by almost 100%. The 4,5-dihy-drodiol was inhibited by 60% for control and 80% for both 3MC and PB induced mullet.
