Abstract
Inhibition of metabolic cooperation between cells may result in tumor promotion or teratogenesis. Using a cell culture assay designed to measure such inhibition as a function of mutant cell recovery in reconstruction experiments with cocultivated mutant (HGPRT-) and wild-type (HGPRT+) cells, we tested several chemicals for their ability to inhibit metabolic cooperation.
