Abstract
Syngeneic (C3H/HeN) antisera to two in vitro chemically transformed cell lines (DMBA CI 2 and MCA CI 15), and to early embryo cells, as well as sera from multiparous C3H mice, have been found to react with a variety of in vitro transformed cell derived from C3H/10T1/2C1 8 mouse embryo fibroblasts, using an 125I-protein A binding assay or immunofluorescence. The degree of this antibody reactivity is correlated positively with the ability of the cells to exhibit anchorage-independent growth. Thus it seems that those cells which grow poorly in agarose will have low binding activities with syngeneic antisera or multiparous serum.
