Abstract
This chapter deals with the effects of the so-called “simple metals” on the superconducting properties of Ti-Nb alloys. Simple metals to be considered, listed in order of increasing atomic number, are: Al, Si, Cu, Ga, Ge, Y, Ag, In, Sn, Sb, Au, Pb, and U. The treatment proceeds in that order, excepting that the effects of Cu and Ge additions which have been dealt with quite extensively in the literature are considered separately and sequentially in the latter part of the chapter.
