Abstract
It was mentioned in the previous chapter that the stress response can be affected by one’s diet. In this chapter we shall address the issue of how diet may relate to excessive stress. We shall directly address this issue in the form of general dietary recommendations for individuals who are vulnerable to chronic, excessive stress. Following each recommendation, we shall provide a discussion of the rationale behind it. It must be mentioned in preface that there is a paucity of research pertaining directly to diet and dietary intervention in relation to the stress response. As a result, some of this discussion will be based on our own clinical observations.
