Abstract
Electrocoating process is widely used for primer-coating of car bodies, parts, appliances, etc. Ultrafiltration is extensively applied in this electrocoating, because there are large merits such as the closed coating system, recovery and reuse of paint, ease of tank liquid composition control (Fig. 1). The process is as follows. By ultrafiltration water, solvent and other low molecular substances are separated from the paint-tank-liquid as filtrate and are used for rinsing the coated parts and then returned to the paint tank; on the other hand, the paint liquid concentrated in the ultrafilter is sent back to the paint tank.
