Abstract
Campylobacter enteritis is a relatively new disease that went unrecognized for a long time. Since Butzler stressed the importance of the organism now known as Campylobacter as an etiologic agent in enteritis in 1974 (3), several other workers in Britain, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Sweden, Australia and Africa confirmed Butzlerfs findings (2,7,8,11,14,15).
