Phonon Spectroscopy of Mn3+ in MgO

Abstract

Superconducting tunnel junction phonon spectroscopy measurements have been made on manganese-doped MgO and four resonant absorptions, which we attribute to Mn3+ fitted to a current Jahn-Teller model.
