Abstract
Although stability constants of many rare-earth complexes have been determined by various methods, the elucidation of some problems such as the relationship between the structure and stability trends has not yet been satisfactorily given. The present work was intended to accumulate stability data of high accuracy, as well as to improve the simplified methods of determining stability constants. Since no thorough stability data have been reported on the β-hydroxypropionate and malate complexes, the complex formation equilibria were investigated by the potentiometric method.
