Abstract
In the 1974 recommendations for the TNM classification of urological tumours, the difficulty in achieving an accurate T category for renal tumours was emphasised (Wallace et al, 1975). In order to improve the accuracy of this T category it was recommended that an arteriogram was necessary and if this could not be done then the minimum requirements could not be met ie. Tx.
