Lymphangiography in Advanced Bladder Cancer
The importance of lymphangiography in the staging of advanced bladder cancer is accepted by many participants of this conference and is recommended by the U.I.C.C. for the complete classification of bladder tumours. A variety of authors have vouched for the accuracy of this radiological investigation. For example, the large series from the Royal Marsden Hospital (Turner et al, 1976) reported accurate correlation with histology in 30% of patients and concluded that the investigation was “essential in planning the treatment of infiltrating bladder tumours”.
