Abstract

A review of the oncogens associated with urothelial tumours but excluding occupational chemical carcinogens has been undertaken together with an evaluation of the role of consumption of phenacetin and tobacco in patients with carcinoma of the renal pelvis and bladder. The importance of infection and stone formation is discussed.
