Abstract
Aquaculture, defined as cultivation of both freshwater and marine aquatic species, is well documented as early as 2000 BC (20). Though aquaculture has been practiced through the ages, it has never received as much attention as it has during the last twenty years. This interest has undoubtedly been promoted by the world’s quest for answers to human nutritional problems and the limitations of our natural fisheries.
