Abstract

In this paper, published a year later than Alexander’s but written before Alexander’s paper was published (which is why no reference is made to Alexander’s paper), Marmor pursues the same line of thought that Alexander does in his paper, but discusses some of the pertinent theories of learning in somewhat greater detail and elaborates on the kinds of learning that take place in psychoanalysis and dynamic psychotherapy.
