Abstract
Dr. Brady was one of the early clinicians to demonstrate the fact that behavioral and dynamic therapies need not be viewed as polar opposites: Psychodynamic factors may operate in behavioral therapies, and behavioral factors in dynamic therapies. He conceptualizes a continuum between the two, with the patient’s problem being the key factor that should determine where, on the continuum, the therapy should be selected.
