Abstract
This paper reports measurements of differential electron energy-loss spectra in helium, involving residual scattered-electron energy from 1 eV to about 40 eV. Strong influence of the postcollision interaction is observed at low residual energy, mainly for the feature around 58 eV. Its line shape is quite similar to those obtained in ejected-electron spectra. Comparison is made with such spectra measured in the same conditions.
