Abstract

Several laboratory assemblies for research with neutron capture gamma rays have been built with from a few to 3000 micro (ยต) gm of 252Cf and operated to analyze materials. In general, samples under study are located near the 252Cf with the gamma detector, e.g., Ge(Li), only far enough away to limit neutron damage.
