Abstract

There have been three basic treatments suggested for primary Raynaud’s: surgical, pharmacological, and more recently, behavioral techniques, particularly biofeedback. There has also been one nontreatment which is basically the suggestion of environmental manipulation, that is, moving to a warmer climate, or taking long vacations in warm areas during the cold winter months. This would also include protecting the affected areas via scarves, gloves, caps, and other protective devices. In this paper, we will briefly review the diagnosis of Raynaud s and outline the types of treatment approaches which have been used for Raynaud’s, of which biofeedback has been the most successful.
