Abstract
Coupling Agents are molecular bridges at the interface between an inorganic filler and an organic polymer matrix. According to Gents1: “Coupling Agents or adhesion promoters are widely used to make adhesive joints between polymers and metal or glass that are able to withstand severe conditions of high temperature and humidity. They have a dual functionality so that they are capable of interlinking the two adherends by reacting with surface atoms of both substances.”
