Abstract
Because preventive medicine is one of the most important aspects of the practice of medicine, this chapter has particular significance in a book designed for the clinician. If the diver-physician is not interested in safe practices, then to whom can we look for help in cutting down the deplorable number of accidents and deaths among divers?
