Abstract
Within the cognitive-therapeutic approaches, the ability to solve problems is more and more regarded as a central goal of therapy and is thus seen as a result of successful therapy. The significance of problem-solving thought as both generator and regulator of action is being taken into consideration for the theoretical foundation as well as for the practical realization of cognitive-therapy concepts, even if often in an unsystematic way.
