Abstract
Fusion of mouse myeloma P3/HT to lymph node lymphocytes of breast cancer patients has produced two human monoclonal antibodies which show selective binding to human breast carcinoma. The 41 and 43 Kd antigens recognized by YBB190 are found primarily in the cytosol fraction of breast carcinoma. YBY088 detects a 30 Kd antigen restricted to membranes of breast tumors, but also found in cytosols of several non-malignant tissues. Although not entirely tumor-restricted, the antigens bound by these human anti-breast monoclonal antibodies have distribution patterns that may be of significance in tumor imaging and therapy.
