Wide Angle Electronic Sector Scanning with Curved Arrays

Abstract

Sector scanners which give a wide angle of view (90°) with a small contact surface are, for this reason, used more and more frequently for clinical investigations. Sonographers must choose between mechanical sector scanners and the more expensive phased arrays.
