T Cell Markers on Pre-B Cells in the Rat

  • Chapter
Microenvironments in the Lymphoid System

Abstract

In order to prepare monoclonal antibodies against cells in the early stages of B cell differentiation in the rat, mice were immunised with leukaemic pre B cells [1]. The spleens of such mice were subsequently used for hybridisation with the SP2/0 fusion line. These fusions resulted in a panel of monoclonal antibodies reacting with determinants on rat lympho-haemopoietic cells. Based on data obtained in flow cytometry and immune peroxidase histology two clones were selected. This paper gives a further characterisation of the reactivity pattern of those two antibodies.
