Abstract
Secondary hyperlipoproteinemias are defined as disorders in lipid metabolism which occur in correlation with a different basic disease and which are reversible after successful treatment of this disease. Secondary hyperlipoproteinemias are frequent. Out of a total of 10–15% hyperlipoproteinemias in an adult “civilized”population about 40% can be defined as secondary forms.
