Summary
Three commercially available methods were compared in respect to correlation and precision.
-
1.
Precipitation with phosphotungstate acid (“PWS”),
-
2.
Electrophoresis with subsequent precipitation in agarose ( “electrophoresis” ),
-
3.
Precipitation of Apo-B-containing Lipoproteins with Conca- navaline A ( “ConA”). As a standard we used ultracentrifugation at a density of 1.006 g/ml with sudsequent precipitation of LDL-1ipoproteins using dextranesulphate (1) ( “modified UZ” ).
