Abstract

As an introduction to the articles that follow (including a Note), early analytical work on tamoxifen and its metabolites is surveyed together with more recent work which has involved other laboratories. For exploratory studies TLC was advantageous. Sensitivity to single-figure ng/ml levels in blood is aimed at.
