Abstract
The four experiments discussed so far (Seibel, 1963; Duncan, 1977; Fitts & Seeger, 1953; Morin & Forrin, 1962) have been simulated within the Xaps3 architecture. This has meant devising and implementing a goal hierarchy for each condition of each task. The architecture, plus the productions for one hierarchy, forms the performance program for a condition. Each performance program is executed for a sequence of trials, yielding a simulated practice curve for the condition. These simulations, and the hierarchies that generate them, are the topic of this chapter.
