The Rigid-Media Coolers

  • John R. Watt

Abstract

The deficiencies of aspenwood evaporator pads have been noted. But substitutes, such as other woods, fiberglass and woven paper, etc., also have weaknesses. So aspenwood has survived, until recently the only pad media not requiring spray wetting for good cooling efficiency. However, users and manufacturers alike have long awaited less troublesome materials.
