Abstract

This chapter, which concludes a series of discussions of the magnetic- field-induced mixed state of type-II superconductors, considers the application of magnetic measurements to critical current density determination, and in so doing makes a transition into the next group of chapters (in Volume 2) which deal with the current-carrying mixed state itself—i.e., with flux pinning and flux motion under the influence of a transport current.
