Abstract
Stage I breast cancer implies early disease. In this group of patients a subset exists. Those patients with minimal breast cancer may have a better prognosis than the remainder of the patients in the stage I category. The results of a retrospective analysis of patients with stage I breast cancer is presented to determine if subdivision of stage I disease according to primary tumor size is a useful maneuver.
