Statistics Metadata: Linear Regression Analysis

Abstract

This paper deals with statistics metadata in the context of estimating the parameters and analysis of data, using statistical linear regression analysis techniques. Statistics metadata consists of complex data objects and the rules for manipulating them. The paper includes a brief outline of statistical linear estimation and establishes the important role that statistics metadata can play in real time linear regression analysis. The paper also discusses the structure of the statistics metadata for range-select-query, link-query, insert-query, delete-query and update-query. Statistics metadata locking is also discussed.
