Frequency Frequency-Rate Spectral Analysis

Target and/or sensor motion can smear a received acoustic tonal over many frequency cells when the frequency resolution is matched to the “at rest” tonal frequency width. In addition to a loss of frequency resolution there is a degradation in SNR. The FFR (Frequency Frequency- Rate spectral analysis) within limits eliminates the smearing of acoustic energy resulting in improved resolution and SNR.
