Abstract

For the maximum potential of an antineoplastic drug to be realized, a torough understanding of its pharmacology “in vivo” is essential. The investigation, therefore, on the tissue distribution of Platinum are interesting both from a pathophysiology point of view, as they give an insight into the mechanism leading to different tissue concentrations of this drug, and from a clinical point of view, since they provide a pharmocological explanation for organ-specific toxicity or for antitumor activity.
