Abstract

From a machine-learning perspective, the most interesting aspects of the ARMS system are in the learning and performance elements. Recall that ARMS is an open-loop, explanation-based learning system (see Figure 5.1), with learning and performance elements accessing a symbolic representation of the world stored in the database.
