Abstract
A survey of the phlebotomine fauna of the Lowlands of Bolivia was initiated in 1984 within the frame of a multidisciplinary project on leighmaniasis (Recacoechea et al., in this chapter). Eighteen different species of Lutzomya were identified (see Bermudez et al., in this chapter).
