Abstract
The theory of magnetism in metals continues to be one of the challenging subjects of modern theoretical physics. Magnetic phenomena are important, and are observed in a wide variety of materials. The equations are difficult to solve. A variety of theoretical techniques are applied to magnetic phenomena, such as Monte Carlo, renormalization group, and Green’s functions. Here we shall only discuss the latter technique.
