Abstract

This chapter describes the Synopsys DesignWare concept introduced in Chapter 1. DesignWare allows one to use pre-existing components to easily implement designs. This chapter also discusses the mechanism for inferring complex cells using DesignWare. The steps involved in building your own DesignWare library are outlined. Finally, classic scenarios involving DesignWare are described and solutions provided.
