This program provides comprehensive dynamic analysis of a steam turbine driven three phase synchronous generator connected to an infinite bus through a generator transformer and either one transmission line or two transmission lines in parallel. Full electrical and mechanical dynamic response is obtained for a variety of user selected disturbances. Only one type of disturbance can be analysed in any program run. The disturbance options are:
  1. 1.

    Steady state operation (no disturbance).

  2. 2.

    System bus voltage change.

  3. 3.

    AVR reference change.

  4. 4.

    Governor reference change.

  5. 5.
    Short circuit faults at a user-selected point on a transmission line,
    1. (a)

      three-phase-to-earth fault,

    2. (b)

      line-to-line-to-earth fault,

    3. (c)

      single line-to-earth fault.

  6. 6.

    Line switching.

  7. 7.

    Load rejection (including rapid closure of steam valves).
