Physical Characteristics of Respiratory Gases and Media
This chapter contains many numerical values that should not be committed to memory. To write this section, I looked up all the numbers. The values are important and should be referred to when making calculations. It is more important to the understanding of gas exchange to keep in mind the relative magnitudes and their consequences. Everyone should be able to make rough estimates from memory. No one should rely on memory for important calculations. If you need the actual values, look them up, too. Otherwise, do not waste your brain storing facts; other media already do that so much better.
