Abstract

Half a century after the surprising result of the experiments done in Rome by Conversi and myself [1,2] at the Lyceum Virgilio and later on with Pancini [3,4] at the University of Rome, it is perhaps interesting, and maybe useful, to identify the ingredients that brought about the discovery of the muon and of the leptonic property.
