Abstract
Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) also called kininase II is widely used in the diagnosis and monitoring therapy of sarcoidosis. This work was undertaken in order to find out whether there is any relationship between the behaviour of serum ACE and such biological indicators as α1-antitrypsin (α1-AT), α2-macroglobulin (α2-M) and hydroxyproline (HYP) in patients with sarcoidosis and interstitial lung fibrosis.
