Abstract
Sealing of human tubular tissues, such as oviduct, with adhesives has a good developing prospect for human birth control and treatments of some diseases. This paper discusses an ideal adhesive for sealing tubular tissues, explores operation methods of sealing, investigates the interaction of solidifed adhesive with the inside tube wall and evaluates clinical effects of sealing. The operation procedure is to first insert XKM-2 with a special appliance into the narrow part of the oviduct. After its inside wall is sealed, a bacteria-free inflammation appears there, then a foreign-matter granulation tumor is formed, finally the tube cavity is sealed by the proliferous fibre structure together with XKM-2 polymer for a long time. The curative success rate of sterilization is up to 95%. The longest time for sealing has been 15 years. Besides, sealing of pancreatic duct with XKM-2 has obtained satisfactory results as well.
