Chemical Reactivity in Weak Charge-Transfer Complexes: Analysis of Induced Far Infrared Profiles and Raman Scattering Profiles

  • Chapter
Chemical Reactivity in Liquids

Abstract

Vibrational studies of very fast chemical reactions, with rate constants ranging from 1010 to 1013s−1, have already been performed since a long time. For instance, one may refer to proton transfer kinetic studies in strong acidic solutions1,3, and,in a more general overview,to conformational dynamics studies about the internal rotation in methyl groups and the ring puckering motion in small cycles 4,5.
