Climbing Fibre Activity Associated with Unperturbed And Perturbed Step Cycles During Skilled Locomotion In The Cat

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((NSSA,volume 148))

Abstract

This chapter reviews the literature relating to the patterns of impulse activity present in cerebellar climbing fibre afferents during locomotion and we give an account of some recent findings of our own regarding activity which occurs in climbing fibres in the lateral part of the anterior lobe vermis in association with unexpected perturbations imposed on the stepping movements of cats undertaking a skilled form of walking.
