Abstract
We have calculated the excitation of the n1P states of helium (n=2,3,4) from the ground state by positron impact using a distorted wave method (Parcell et al, 1983, 1987). As well as producing results for the integrated and differential cross sections, we have obtained values for the correlation and orientation parameters λ, χ, and 01-(see, for example, Fon et al, 1980, for a definition of these quantities).
