Long Term Effect of Diethylnitrosamine (DEN) on the Production of Micronuclei in Precancerous Rat Liver

  • Conference paper
Experimental Hepatocarcinogenesis

Abstract

The mechanisms of hepatocarcinogenesis induced by nitrosamines have been mainly considered in relation to “initiation” processes. Alkylation of 06-guanine associated with DNA synthesis has been frequently correlated with point mutations to explain the emergence of putative preneoplastic foci and this has been directly connected with various types of tumorigenesis 1–4.
