Abstract
This section attempts to bring to getheradiverse group of papers concerned with the degradation of both synthetic materials and structures of biologicalorigin. Perhaps, the common theme inherent within these papers is that these degradations are biologically - induced, i.e., an organism or a product thereof mediates the deterioration of either synthetic substances or another organism.
