Abstract
The previous chapters have demonstrated that the exposures and nominal doses of major pollutants found in biofuel smoke are high as compared to typical air pollution situations in developed countries and rival or exceed those received by active smokers for some pollutants. It is thus appropriate to address the next question on the list at the end of Chapter 1: what are the health impacts of the present patterns of exposures to biofuel combustion products in the developing countries?
